About Us
I have been involved in the Painting and Decorating business for over 30 years, becoming self employed in the early 90’s.
I have a small team of qualified decorators who can take on most aspects of painting and decorating, including; paper hanging, renovating kitchen units and doors, furniture painting, interior and exterior refurbishment for a variety of domestic and commercial customers.
By using modern paints and systems the days of the house being full of dust and paint odours are gone. We usually use acrylic based paints which reduce odours and has quicker drying times. We used the Mirka dust free sanding system which is 95% dust free. This enables us to really go to town on those badly painted walls, removing orange peel finish, drips and blobs.
We can airless spray walls, ceilings and woodwork leaving an immaculate finish that brush and roller can’t achieve.
We also spray UPVC windows, doors, fascia and gutters. Using specialised paint designed to bond solid to upvc.
Bedroom furniture, fitted wardrobes and garden furniture can all be painted in any colour.
Our reputation is built on providing a reliable, efficient and professional service. We strive to have a positive impact on every job, large or small – paying attention to detail and showing the utmost respect to our customers and their premises, at all times.
Why Airless Paint Spraying is the Preferred Decorating Choice

Airless paint spraying is the preferred decorating choice for people all over the world and is suitable for a multitude of substrates.
It has become more popular than other traditional ways of re-coating a surface such as hand brush painting or using a roller because it has so many advantages. Airless spraying is often associated with paint spraying, but if you have had a shower this morning, you will have used a basic type of airless sprayer.
What is airless spraying?
An airless mechanism basically splits up liquid into small droplets and this process of atomisation is achieved by pushing fluid through a small nozzle called a spray tip.
Because the paint is pumped through the spray tip under high pressure, there is enough energy to break up the surface tension bonding the liquid together.
The paint leaves the spray gun in a high speed stream, but becomes fragmented into tiny droplets as soon as it comes into contact with the air.
Other types of spray systems atomise fluid by propelling compressed air into the stream of liquid, but by definition an ‘airless’ system uses pressure alone.
What are the advantages of using an airless spraying system?
1 Applying paint using the airless technique is twice as fast as using a paint brush and four times faster than painting with a roller. Consequently, more projects can be completed in a shorter amount of time using less labour and thus saving money.
2 Large expanses can be covered in one fell swoop with less effort than other methods, therefore perfect for roofs, cladding or ceilings.
3 Metal door and window frames have often been hand painted in the past, but airless spraying can be used on these smaller surfaces areas too.
4 Airless spraying doesn’t leave any brush marks unlike hand painting which can be unsightly.
5 The spray itself is fine and therefore leads to even layers when multiple coats are built up (rather than a thick uneven layer that is more likely to drip). Overlapping can still be an issue, but much less so than when using paint brushes or rollers.
6 Rollers and brush painting take their toll on a painter’s back, shoulders and arms, but because airless systems are physically easier they are often the preferred decorating choice.
7 Airless paint spraying is a versatile technique suitable for use on a huge range of interior and exterior surfaces ranging from UPVC window frames to architectural metalwork.
8 Surface flaws can be covered easily, so dents, cracks and small holes in substrates can effectively be filled with a layer of paint.
9 Items can be sprayed in any colour and man different types of coatings can be used including metallic paints.
10 An airless painting system is portable and therefore perfect for on-site paint spraying anywhere and everywhere.
Airless Spraying Points To Remember...
-
Every square inch of surface that isn’t to be painted must be masked off properly and this preparation is time consuming and will need to be taken into account when estimating a project.
-
There will sometimes be a small mist of paint around the sprayer when using an airless spray gun, so if interiors are being re-coated then they need to be well ventilated.
-
The spraying equipment needs to be cleaned after every painting session and this also needs to be factored into the time estimate.
-
Spraying is more efficient if spray tips are replaced in guns when they become worn and spraying at the lowest possible pressure reduces wear in the tip. An experienced airless sprayer will know to replace the tip when the fan size within the spray pattern has reduced by 25%.
-
Because of the benefits, airless paint spraying is the preferred decorating choice of many professionals, but any painter should take the above points into account in order to achieve a perfect finish.
